Denne skrev jeg på fem minutter for å delta i en konkurranse en gang på et forum for pirater. Jeg liker limericks, men er ikke helt inne på reglene, men pyttsann. Jeg vant selvsagt ikke.
Vi måtte ha med diverse ord, som five og et av havnavnene.I once sailed an ocean called Sage
I was old and withered with age
Then a mermaid came by
and I felt a bit shy
I thought surely she must be a mage.
She offered to me wishes five
said; take ´em or back I will dive
I felt a bit greedy
I must now think speedy
and make sure I don´t choose a bee hive.
Oh mermaid who´s incredibly fair
please give me a pitcher of beer
I´m all out of rum
and I feel rather dumb
´n a beer would so make me cheer.
With a huge pitcher now in my hand
I decided to ask for a land
with mountains so high
where no lakes are dry
where I could rest myself in the sand
But there is a little thing more
even though I love this new shore
I need me a ship
with a crew I can whip
and go hunting for that great gold ore
