Er det noen i det hele tatt? Og hvis det er akkurat det samme, hvorfor heter det plutselig cupcakes overalt? 😕

It has a lot ot do with baking method.
American Muffins are made differently than cupcakes. The method is to blend the dry ingrediets and the wet ingredients seperately and then to very quickly mix the wet ingredients into the dry,until just combined but not over mixing (two or three stirs is all that is needed). The butter is also melted too and added to the wet mix before combining the wet and dry. The mix is than put into very large paper muffin cases or large muffin pans and baked
Cupcakes/fairycakes in Australia are made by creaming butter and sugar together than adding the eggs, flour, milk and whatever else is added. Spoonfuls of the mix are then placed into small paper 'patty pans' and they are baked. Once cool they are iced.
Slik jeg har lært det er det slik at rennende rører er muffins. Faste rører som man må fordele ved hjelp av skje er oppskrifter som ofte stammer fra USA og er det man kaller cupcakes.
